Public Health Priorities 2015-2020


  • Prevent obesity and illegal use / abuse of tobacco and drugs.
  • Increase awareness and efforts to manage chronic disease, including but not limited to cancer and diabetes.
  • Increase public health visibility and awareness of what the Public Health Division is and does.
  • Advocate for policy changes to serve those under-insured and non-insured.


Chisago County Public Health is guided by the Ten Essential Public Health Services. These Ten Essential Public Health Services are applied to the role of public health structures nationally, as well as through state, local, and tribal public health governance.
